He began his recovery journey in 1987 and, through overcoming numerous challenges, has accumulated valuable wisdom to assist clients from diverse backgrounds in dealing with various issues.
With internationally recognised qualifications in addiction treatment, Barney has applied his expertise in both residential facilities and one-on-one therapeutic settings. He played a pivotal role in launching the Mankind Project in the UK during the early 1990s and remains a committed Trustee. Barney proudly holds the distinction of being among the first men certified as a leader in the Mankind Project's transformative programme, The New Warrior Training, skills he continues to apply today.
Throughout his journey, Barney has held key leadership positions, including managing a multi-campus facility in the United States that caters to individuals worldwide seeking personal and spiritual transformation. In addition to his work in addiction, Barney has founded successful organisations in financial markets, media, and property, where he is renowned for fostering development and offering coaching.
